Upgrade, Replace & Restore with Keystone Glazing

Transform your conservatory into a comfortable, energy-efficient living space with a warm roof from Keystone Glazing. Our high-performance warm roofs help regulate temperature, reduce glare and improve insulation, so you can enjoy your conservatory all year round.

We are a local, family-run company with more than 25 years’ experience, replacing conservatory roofs across Chichester, Bognor Regis, Emsworth and West Sussex. In most cases we keep your existing frames and base, so a new roof costs far less than a new conservatory or extension.

What is a Warm Roof?

A warm roof is an insulated, solid or tiled roof replacement designed for conservatories. Unlike traditional glass or polycarbonate roofs, which lose heat in winter and overheat in summer, a warm roof provides far better thermal efficiency, making your conservatory a usable, energy-efficient space throughout the year. Inside, you get a plastered ceiling that feels like part of the house, with room for lights and roof windows.

Benefits of Warm Roofs for Conservatories

  • Improved insulation – keeps heat in during winter and blocks excess heat in summer.
  • Lower energy bills – reduces heating and cooling costs.
  • Noise reduction – dampens rain and wind noise compared with glass and polycarbonate roofs.
  • Glare and UV protection – reduces harsh sunlight and helps stop furniture fading.
  • A better look – tiled, solid or hybrid designs to match your home.
  • Regulation compliance – designed to meet UK Building Regulations for conservatory roof replacements.

Our Warm Roof Solutions

We fit the Supalite warm roof system, made to measure for your conservatory and available as pitched, tiled and flat roofs:

Solid warm roofs

A fully insulated, tiled roof, ideal for maximum energy efficiency and durability. It creates a seamless extension of your home and is available in a choice of tile finishes.

Hybrid warm roofs

Solid insulated panels combined with glazed sections, letting natural light in while keeping high thermal performance.

Lightweight tiled roofs

A cost-effective alternative to a traditional conservatory roof, offering a low-maintenance, attractive and energy-efficient upgrade.

Flat warm roofs

A crisp, modern finish for lean-to and orangery-style rooms, often paired with a roof lantern or rooflights to keep the room bright.

Keep the Light with Roof Windows and Lanterns

A solid roof doesn’t have to mean a dark room. We can add roof windows, rooflights or a lantern to your new warm roof so the space stays bright. See our rooflights, skylights and roof lanterns.

Is My Conservatory Suitable?

Most conservatories with sound frames and a solid base can take a warm roof. At the survey we check the frames, base and walls to make sure they can carry the new roof, and recommend any strengthening needed. If your frames or glass are past their best, we can replace them at the same time – see our conservatory installations and repairs.

Warm Roof Questions

What is a warm roof on a conservatory?

A warm roof replaces a glass or polycarbonate conservatory roof with an insulated, solid roof, usually tiled outside and plastered inside. It keeps the room warm in winter and cooler in summer. We fit the Supalite system.

Can a warm roof go on my existing conservatory?

Usually, yes. If the frames and base are sound, we can replace just the roof. We check this at the survey and recommend any strengthening needed.

Will a warm roof make my conservatory dark?

Not if you add light. We can fit roof windows, rooflights or a lantern in the new roof, or choose a hybrid roof with glazed sections.

Do I need planning permission for a warm roof?

Replacing a conservatory roof doesn’t usually need planning permission, but a solid roof must meet building regulations. Listed buildings and conservation areas have different rules. We will advise you at the survey.

What guarantee comes with a warm roof?

Our products carry a 10-year guarantee. We are CERTASS registered, with an Insurance Backed Guarantee. Full guarantee details come with your quotation.
