Conservatory Problems We Fix

  • Leaking roofs – worn seals, failed flashings, loose roof bars and leaks where the roof meets the house.
  • Cracked, slipped or discoloured roof panels – polycarbonate or glass.
  • Misted or broken glass – in the walls and the roof.
  • Doors that stick, drop or won’t lock – realigned, adjusted or fitted with new parts.
  • Broken handles, hinges and locks – on conservatory doors and windows.
  • Blocked or leaking gutters – cleared, resealed or replaced.
  • Draughts and worn seals – new gaskets to keep the heat in and the rain out.

Our Conservatory Repair Services

Leaking conservatory roofs

A leak can show up a long way from where the water gets in, so we trace it first: the seals around the roof panels, the flashing against the house wall, the roof bars, the ridge and the gutters. Then we reseal, replace or refix what has failed.

Roof panel replacement

Old polycarbonate sheets crack, slip and turn yellow with age. We replace them like for like, or swap them for glass, which is quieter in the rain and lets more light in. If the whole roof has had its day, see warm roofs for conservatories.

Misted and broken glass

Misting between the panes means the unit’s seal has failed, and it won’t clear on its own. We replace just the glass unit, keeping your existing frame, in the conservatory walls or roof. Read more about double glazing repairs.

Doors, locks and hinges

Conservatory doors drop, stick and stop locking as hinges wear and frames settle. We adjust and realign them, and replace worn hinges, handles, locks and mechanisms on uPVC and aluminium doors. See also our door repairs.

Gutters, seals and draughts

Blocked or leaking gutters push water back into the roof, and tired gaskets let in draughts. We clear, reseal or replace gutters and renew worn seals around the frames and glass.

Repair, Re-Roof or Replace?

If the frames and base are sound, repairing what has failed is almost always the best value. If the roof is the problem, and the room is too hot in summer, too cold in winter or too noisy in the rain, a warm roof or new glass roof can make it a room you use all year. If the frames are past saving, we will say so and talk you through a new conservatory.

How It Works

1. Send us a photo – a picture of the problem lets us give you an idea of the fix straight away.

“Absolutely great company to deal with. Nothing is too much trouble, extremely helpful with good advice when trying to decide on spec etc. In short, I would say how companies used to be with great old fashioned and genuine service. I don't normally do reviews but felt Keystone definitely deserved it.”

“The guys did a brilliant job from start to finish. All of them were very approachable and made the whole experience seamless. The job was finished sooner then originally thought and the finished windows and back door have been faultless - the door dropped but was sorted rapidly after I called them up. Would thoroughly recommend this company and so glad we chose them over the other company who quoted us.”

Conservatory Repair Questions

Do you repair conservatories you didn’t install?

Yes. We repair uPVC, aluminium and timber conservatories whoever built them, and most repairs can be done without replacing the whole conservatory.

Why is my conservatory roof leaking?

Most leaks come from worn seals around the roof panels, a failed flashing where the roof meets the house wall, loose roof bars or a blocked gutter. We find the source before we fix it, so you only pay for the repair you need.

Can you replace cracked or discoloured polycarbonate roof panels?

Yes. We replace cracked, slipped or discoloured polycarbonate sheets, or swap them for glass, which is quieter in the rain and lets in more light.

Can you fix misted glass in a conservatory?

Yes. Misting between the panes means the unit’s seal has failed. We replace just the glass unit in the wall or roof and keep the existing frame.

Is it worth repairing an old conservatory?

If the frames and base are sound, a repair is usually far cheaper than a new conservatory. If the room is too hot in summer and too cold in winter, a warm roof may be the better fix, and we will tell you honestly which makes sense.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover Chichester, Bognor Regis, Emsworth, Selsey, Felpham, Pagham, Barnham, Littlehampton, Arundel and the surrounding areas of West Sussex and the Hampshire border.
